2nd Engineer required for a 70m new build motor yacht, due to launch early next year.
- This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and technically skilled engineer to join the project during its final build phase and play an integral role in preparing the vessel for launch and operation.
- The yacht will run a dual season itinerary, with an emphasis on reliability, smooth operations, and a high standard of engineering maintenance once in service.
- Assisting the Chief Engineer with all aspects of the build supervision, commissioning, and handover process.
- Supporting the setup and testing of mechanical, electrical, and hotel engineering systems.
- Maintaining detailed records of all equipment, manuals, and service schedules during the warranty and handover period.
- Implementing and maintaining the vessel’s planned maintenance system (PMS).
- Managing stock levels, spares, and consumables.
- Assisting in operational engineering once the yacht is launched, including watchkeeping, daily checks, and ongoing maintenance.
- Minimum EOOW CoC or equivalent commercial qualification.
- Previous experience on large yachts or passenger/commercial vessels, preferably including yard or build exposure.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with AV/IT systems and modern yacht technologies.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.
- A salary of up to €7,000 is on offer
- Time for time rotation will be on offer - Although the role will run as a flexible full time role until the launch
