An 80m private charter motor yacht is seeking a highly skilled and professional 2nd Engineer to join its technical department.
- Salary of €6,300, plus charter tips
- 5% annual increase on salary
- 8:8 Rotation
- Dual season cruising: Mediterranean, Red Sea, and Indian Ocean
- Start date: Immediate
- The vessel operates a dual season schedule, with extensive cruising in the Mediterranean during summer and the Red Sea and Indian Ocean during winter.
- Assist the Chief Engineer in the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of all engineering systems onboard, including main propulsion, generators, HVAC, water treatment, and hotel services systems
- Supervise and guide junior engineering team members, ensuring work is carried out to the highest safety and technical standards
- Maintain the vessel’s Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and ensure all engineering operations comply with class, flag, and international maritime regulations
- Participate in engine room watchkeeping, troubleshooting, and emergency response duties
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of tenders, water toys, and auxiliary equipment
- 2nd Engineer Unlimited ticket required
- Strong technical knowledge across both mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience with large yacht engineering operations; commercial or naval background will also be considered
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to support the Chief Engineer in managing a complex engineering programme
