A 40m+ private new build motor yacht, soon to launch, is seeking a proactive and versatile 2nd Engineer/Deckhand.

• The yacht will be permanently based in the Mediterranean and run a dynamic private program with a strong watersports focus.
• This is a great opportunity to join from the beginning, assisting with commissioning, sea trials, and the setup of both engineering and deck operations.
• Support the Chief Engineer with planned maintenance, daily checks, record keeping, and assisting during sea trials and future yard periods.
• Hands-on troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and AV/IT systems.
• Ensure the engine room and technical spaces are kept in excellent order.
• Assist with tender and toys maintenance, setup, and safe operation.
• Work on deck as required: washdowns, line handling, anchor operations, and watersports support.
• Confident tender driving for guest runs and watersports activities.
• Provide guest-facing assistance during watersports sessions and excursions, ensuring safety at all times.
• EOOW preferred, or AEC 1 & 2 with proven engineering experience.
• Previous dual-role experience on yachts of a similar size is highly advantageous.
• Strong practical skills and ability to adapt between engineering and deck tasks.
• Good tender driving ability (jet tender experience a bonus).
• A package of €4,000-€5000 DOE is on offer with 45 days leave
