Our UHNW client is seeking an experienced and service-driven Butler with a strong background in private households and high-end hospitality environments for a part-time, seasonal role covering the summer months in 2026, based at a private summer residence in the US.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a polished and discreet approach to service, with the ability to anticipate needs, manage household operations, and provide seamless support during both daily family life and formal entertaining.

The ideal individual will be known for their calm presence, exceptional attention to detail, and ability to adapt to the rhythm of a dynamic household while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and discretion.

Core Experience

Hospitality & Entertaining

• Extensive experience supporting both formal and informal entertaining within private residences
• Overseeing event set-up, service flow, and overall ambiance in coordination with chefs and household staff
• Providing refined food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail service
• Assisting with light food and drink preparation for smaller gatherings when required
• Welcoming and attending to guests, ensuring a warm, polished, and well-managed experience

Household Management & Coordination

• Acting as a key liaison between principals, household staff, and external service providers
• Managing daily household checklists, routines, and operational logistics
• Conducting regular property walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards
• Coordinating with property managers and vendors for maintenance, seasonal preparation, and household requirements
• Maintaining inventory of household supplies, pantry items, and essentials

Family Support

• Providing flexible, hands-on support tailored to a family-oriented household
• Assisting with children’s activities, errands, and day-to-day support as required
• Supporting family travel, including packing, unpacking, and organisation
• Comfortable working in homes with children, fostering a friendly and respectful rapport while maintaining professional boundaries

Service & Professional Standards

• Delivering high-level, anticipatory service with a strong ability to read the room
• Maintaining absolute discretion and confidentiality at all times
• Tech-savvy and confident using digital communication tools and household systems
• Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable in fast-paced environments
• A collaborative team player with a positive, solution-focused mindset

Additional Attributes

• Background in private service, butlering, and/or luxury hospitality settings
• Excellent communication skills and professional presentation
• Clean driving record and confident driver
• Flexible with scheduling and able to reside on-site if required
