The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced HR Leader to establish and lead the HR function across Australia, with expanding oversight into New Zealand, as part of a growing global organisation.
This is a newly created role, reporting directly to the (European-based) Global HR Director, and offers the opportunity to shape, embed and evolve HR practices in a fast-moving, people-focused business. While the role supports hybrid working, regular presence in the Perth office each week is essential to build strong relationships with leaders and teams.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the lead HR partner for Australia, supporting a workforce of approximately 20 employees, scaling to 40+ over the next phase of growth

Oversee the establishment and ongoing management of HR operations in New Zealand, ensuring local compliance and best practice

Provide end-to-end HR generalist support, including:

Employment law and compliance (AU & NZ)

Contracts, policies, procedures and frameworks

Employee relations, performance management, disciplinaries and terminations

Recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning

Partner closely with the Global HR Director to align local HR delivery with global strategy

Support leaders with pragmatic, commercial HR advice in a scaling environment

Build robust, compliant HR processes while maintaining a people-first culture
About You

Proven experience in a hands-on HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist role

Strong working knowledge of Australian employment law; exposure to New Zealand employment law is highly desirable

Confident managing end-to-end HR operations in a growing organisation

Comfortable operating autonomously while collaborating within a global HR structure

Pragmatic, solutions-focused and commercially minded

Strong interpersonal skills with the credibility to partner with senior stakeholders

Willing and able to spend regular time in the Perth office as part of a hybrid model
