A highly private family is seeking an experienced and professional Housekeeper to join the team at their beautiful 12,000 sq. ft. residence in Southampton.

This is a permanent, year-round position offering excellent stability for an experienced private household professional looking to become a trusted, long-term member of a well-run estate.

The principals are typically in residence for approximately four months of the year. During this time, the successful candidate will help ensure the home is maintained and presented to exceptional standards while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the household.

During the quieter months, the focus will shift toward detailed housekeeping, deep cleaning, organization, inventories, seasonal projects, and ensuring the residence remains beautifully maintained and ready for the family's return.

Responsibilities

• Daily housekeeping and upkeep of a large, high-end private residence
• Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the home
• Detailed cleaning and regular deep-cleaning projects
• Care of fine furnishings, surfaces, artwork, and household items
• Laundry, ironing, and general wardrobe care as required
• Making and changing beds and maintaining bedrooms and guest suites
• Organizing closets, cupboards, pantries, storage areas, and household supplies
• Monitoring household inventories and restocking supplies
• Preparing the residence ahead of principal and guest arrivals
• Maintaining guest rooms and ensuring they are always beautifully presented
• Assisting with seasonal opening and closing requirements
• Supporting household organization and special projects during quieter periods
• Working collaboratively with the wider household and estate team
• Assisting with entertaining and household requirements when the principals are in residence
• Identifying anything requiring attention and communicating effectively with the appropriate team member
• Providing additional household support as required

• Previous professional housekeeping experience within a UHNW private residence, luxury estate, yacht, or comparable high-end environment

• Experience caring for fine furnishings, delicate surfaces, linens, and household items
• Strong laundry and ironing skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• A naturally organized and proactive approach
• The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player

• Flexibility during busier periods when the family is in residence
