Quay Group is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded Ultra High Net Worth family based in the San Francisco Bay Area who are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and adaptable Personal Household Assistant to join their established household team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within private households. Previous household experience is welcomed but not essential, making this an ideal position for candidates transitioning from luxury hospitality, private yachts or five-star service.

The family are particularly interested in meeting former yacht crew, especially junior steward(esses), who are accustomed to anticipating needs, maintaining impeccable standards and thriving in fast-paced, service-focused environments.

Working alongside the Estate Manager, Director of Residences, nannies, chef and wider household team, you will become the extra pair of hands that helps keep the household operating effortlessly.

The Role

No two days will be the same. This position combines family support, household assistance and personal errands, making it perfect for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in being helpful wherever needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Running daily errands including grocery shopping, dry cleaning, returns and gift purchasing.
• Assisting with household organization and ensuring supplies remain fully stocked.
• Supporting the nannies during the afternoon routine, particularly when additional childcare support is required.
• Helping with school pickups, activities and children's routines as directed.
• Assisting the private chef with light kitchen preparation and service when required.
• Helping prepare the home for family arrivals, guests and entertaining.
• Supporting housekeeping with presentation, organization, laundry, light service and maintaining impeccable standards throughout the residence.
• Coordinating deliveries and household logistics.
• Providing hands-on support wherever needed to ensure the household runs seamlessly.
• Working collaboratively with the entire household team while anticipating the family's needs.

Previous experience aboard private yachts, within luxury hospitality, boutique hotels or private aviation would be highly advantageous.

Schedule

The role will typically be Monday to Friday, working either:

• 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, or
• 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM

When the Principal is in residence, occasional weekend work will be required. Time off will be provided during the week to ensure a balanced schedule.
