A long-standing client of ours based in an outstanding area of beauty in Connecticut, is seeking an experienced, discreet, and service-oriented domestic couple to join their private household. This is a unique opportunity to work in a refined environment with a client who deeply values traditional service and attention to detail. The couple would ideally consist of a Chef and House Manager, but individual applications are also welcome.

ROLE 1: PRIVATE CHEF TO PRINCIPAL

We are seeking a classically trained Chef who upholds the standards of fine dining and private service. This role is perfect for a Chef with experience in formal households or luxury yachts, someone who takes pride in presentation and culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily meals for the principal, ranging from comfort classics to gourmet cuisine
• Handle occasional entertaining (typically intimate dinners for 6–8 guests, no large parties)
• Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and organization
• Work closely with household staff to ensure smooth coordination

Ideal Candidate:

• Professional training and/or experience in luxury hospitality, yachting, or private residences
• Comfortable with varied cuisine and dietary flexibility
• Discreet, service-focused, and polished in both presentation and attitude
• A “white jacket” chef with pride in old-school service traditions

ROLE 2: HOUSE MANAGER & CONCIERGE

The House Manager will oversee the smooth daily running of a beautifully maintained home with exquisite interiors. This is a hybrid position combining traditional household management, light tech support, and personal concierge/butler-style service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of household operations (interior only)
• Guide and support housekeeper/laundress in maintaining high standards
• Serve the Principal (e.g., making the perfect beverages, running errands, concierge-style duties)
• Handle light tech support
• Oversee upkeep of a guest cottage on the estate.
• Liaise with the long-established Estate Manager for outdoor operations and coordination

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced in private households, estates, or yachts
• Technologically confident (smart homes, troubleshooting, syncing devices)
• Polished, proactive, and highly organized
• Excellent communicator with a “no task too small” attitude

Additional Details:

• This role is live-in or live-out, with accommodation options to suit
• Light driving duties and travel may occasionally be required
• The Estate Manager who oversees the grounds and will be a key team liaison
