Private Housekeeper / Household Assistant –Los Angeles

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Weekend Flexibility: Required when Principal is in residence

A private household in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced, proactive and dependable Housekeeper / Household Assistant to join their team.

This is a casual, relaxed household with high standards. We are looking for someone who is naturally self-sufficient, calm and observant ,  someone who notices what needs to be done and takes care of it without requiring constant direction.

The Principal is direct but respectful and prefers a calm, quiet working environment. The successful candidate will understand how to read the room, work independently and use good judgement rather than approaching the Principal with frequent questions.

Responsibilities

• High-standard daily housekeeping and general upkeep
• Laundry, linens and household organization
• Keeping the residence clean, organized and guest-ready
• Light food preparation
• Grocery shopping and household errands
• Managing household supplies and restocking
• Coordinating and overseeing vendors and service providers
• General household assistance as required
• Proactively identifying and handling household needs

Dog Care

There are three dogs, so candidates must genuinely enjoy dogs and be comfortable taking responsibility for their day-to-day care, including:

• Walking and feeding
• Administering medication
• Scheduling and attending vet appointments
• General care and monitoring

• Previous private household experience preferred
• Excellent housekeeping standards
• Proactive and able to work independently
• Calm, discreet and unobtrusive
• Comfortable with a direct communication style
• Excellent common sense and good judgement
• Organized with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable with light food preparation
• Confident with errands and vendor coordination
• Must love dogs
• Flexible to work weekends when the Principal is in town
• Valid driver's license and ability to work legally in the United States
