Project Engineer – Superyacht New Builds
Location: Northern Italy

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our technical team on 50–60m superyacht new build projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer (Class I, Class II, Y1 or Y2 ticket holder) seeking to transition ashore and apply their engineering expertise in a project management environment.

The Role:
As Project Engineer, you will work alongside the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager to deliver complex new build projects. You will be the technical lead on engineering matters, ensuring that all systems are designed, installed, and commissioned to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering oversight during new build projects.

• Review technical specifications, drawings, and engineering packages.

• Monitor shipyard progress, ensuring compliance with class, flag, and owner requirements.

• Supervise mechanical and electrical installations, FATs, and commissioning.

• Liaise with shipyards, contractors, suppliers, and owners’ representatives.

• Support sea trials and handover processes.

Candidate Profile:

• Chief Engineer (Class I / Y1) or 2nd Engineer (Class II / Y2) ticket holder.

• Strong seagoing experience on superyachts (50m+ preferred).

• Previous yard period experience: major refit or involvement in build stages up to commissioning.

• Excellent technical knowledge of yacht systems and engineering practices.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Right to work in Italy is essential

Package:

• Salary: €8,000 – €10,000 per month (DOE).
