UK Based | Work From Home | Large Yacht Experience
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Yacht Manager to join a high-calibre yacht management environment, working predominantly from home in the UK.
We are looking for someone who brings the usual strengths of a strong Yacht Manager — operational oversight, Captain and client liaison, budgeting, compliance and coordination — but with a greater technical and engineering understanding than the average yacht management profile.
You do not need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable discussing technical issues with Captains, Chief Engineers, shipyards and specialist contractors, understanding the implications and helping drive sensible solutions.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong Yacht Management experience, ideally with exposure to larger yachts
- Good technical and engineering awareness, including refit, maintenance and operational matters
- Confidence liaising with Captains, Chief Engineers, owners’ representatives and external specialists
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance operational, technical and financial priorities
- Excellent communication skills — diplomatic, credible and able to build trust quickly
- A genuinely collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a wider team
- Calmness under pressure and a practical, solutions-focused mindset
- Willingness to travel to vessels and shipyards when required
This role will particularly suit someone who enjoys being at the centre of yacht operations, bringing people together, resolving issues and ensuring vessels are supported to the highest possible standard.
Location: UK – predominantly home-based
Travel: Vessel and shipyard visits as required
