Senior Personal & Lifestyle Manager – UHNW Private Family

Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Full-Time
Travel: Approximately 20%
Compensation: Highly Competitive + Comprehensive Benefits

Quay Group is partnering with a highly successful private family to appoint an exceptional Senior Personal & Lifestyle Manager to provide highly personalized, hands-on support across their day-to-day lives.

This is a position for an experienced professional who combines exceptional organization with maturity, judgment, discretion, and an instinctive ability to anticipate what someone needs before they have to ask.

The role is personal and varied in nature. The successful candidate will become a trusted point of support to family members, taking ownership of everything from travel, appointments, residences, and vehicles to personal administration, purchases, research, logistics, and special projects.

The family is not necessarily looking for someone who has progressed into a Family Office Director or Chief of Staff-level position.

Instead, they are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys providing exceptional personal support, understands the importance of the smallest details, and takes satisfaction in quietly making a busy family's life run seamlessly.

The Role

No two days will be exactly the same.

You will be trusted with a wide range of personal matters and expected to take ownership of requests from initial conversation through successful completion.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing personal appointments, schedules, memberships, correspondence, and important documentation
  • Coordinating complex domestic and international travel and associated logistics
  • Anticipating upcoming events, deadlines, renewals, and personal requirements
  • Researching personal requests and providing thoughtful, well-considered recommendations
  • Managing personal purchases and assisting with the acquisition of significant items and assets
  • Assisting with personal banking and credit card administration
  • Liaising with accounting teams regarding bills, expenses, reimbursements, and supporting documentation
  • Coordinating the setup, relocation, and winding down of residences when required
  • Managing the movement, delivery, tracking, and storage of personal belongings
  • Coordinating utilities, transportation, services, and other requirements associated with residences
  • Keeping on top of administrative and maintenance requirements for residences and vehicles
  • Ensuring registrations, permits, renewals, insurance documentation, and other important records remain current
  • Coordinating household staff, runners, maintenance personnel, vendors, contractors, and other service providers
  • Following up to ensure work is completed properly, on time, and to the family's expectations
  • Managing multiple personal and household projects simultaneously
  • Troubleshooting problems and finding practical solutions
  • Keeping family members appropriately informed while minimizing the amount of time and attention they need to give to each request
  • Traveling as required, from shorter assignments to occasional multi-day trips
  • Handling highly confidential personal information with absolute discretion

The Person

For this position, life experience and judgment matter just as much as specific private-sector experience.

The family would particularly welcome candidates who bring a well-rounded professional background alongside approximately 5–8+ years of high-level private, family, or personal support experience.

More important is that you have developed the maturity and confidence to understand people, read situations, anticipate needs, solve problems independently, and know when something requires the principal's attention and when it can simply be handled.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Significant professional experience and a strong track record of supporting demanding individuals
  • Approximately 5–8+ years of relevant private, family, lifestyle, or high-level personal support experience
  • Exceptional maturity, judgment, and emotional intelligence
  • An instinctive ability to anticipate needs and preferences
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills
  • Excellent research capabilities and the ability to turn information into thoughtful recommendations
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities without becoming overwhelmed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong experience coordinating vendors and service providers
  • Confidence handling sensitive personal administration and financial documentation
  • Experience coordinating residences, vehicles, travel, and other personal assets
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
  • The ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • A warm, polished, service-minded approach
  • Complete discretion and respect for confidentiality
  • Flexibility to travel approximately 20%
  • Excellent, verifiable references

A bachelor's degree is preferred, although equivalent professional and life experience will also be considered.
