unique opportunity has arisen for a talented and versatile sole chef to join a private 40m yacht, operating a dual-season itinerary. The yacht will cruise the East Mediterranean for 2 months before moving to the Red Sea for the remainder of the season.
Start Date: 31st March
- As the sole chef, you will be fully responsible for all culinary operations on board, including provisioning, menu creation, preparation, and presentation.
- There will be a strong focus on fresh fish and seafood, sourced locally wherever possible, reflecting the yacht’s high culinary standards. This role also includes responsibilities for crew meals and maintaining a clean, well-organised galley.
- Create diverse, seasonal menus for guests and crew, with an emphasis on fresh fish, seafood, and locally sourced ingredients.
- Source the best ingredients in multiple regions, manage galley stock, and control food budgets efficiently.
- Maintain hygiene, organisation, and efficiency in a busy galley environment.
- Deliver high-quality meals for guests, formal dinners, casual dining, and special events, while also catering for crew nutrition and morale
- Ability to express culinary creativity and showcase regional seafood specialities, fine dining techniques, and exceptional presentation.
- Proven experience as a sole chef on luxury yachts or in high-end hospitality.
- Flexible and adaptable for dual-season travel.
- Passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
- 38 days annual leave plus discretionary leave.
- A salary of €6,500 - €7,000 is on offer
- Ships cook certificate is essential
