A 35m+ private motor yacht is looking for a capable and detail-oriented Sole Engineer to join their experienced crew on a full-time basis. The vessel operates year-round primarily on the U.S. West Coast, with occasional trips to Mexico and British Columbia. The yacht runs a relaxed but professional program with an emphasis on preventative maintenance, safety, and owner enjoyment.

- Full responsibility for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems onboard
- Managing and executing planned maintenance schedules
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues efficiently
- Overseeing contractors and yard periods when needed
- Managing spare parts inventory, engine room logs, and technical records
- Liaising with the captain and management on budgets, maintenance reports, and project planning
- Supporting deck operations and assisting during docking when required
- Ensuring the engine room is kept in excellent order and compliant with safety standards
- Previous experience as a Sole Engineer on vessels between 30–40m
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, generators, watermakers, electrical systems, and AV/IT
- A proactive and structured approach to maintenance
- The ability to work independently, as well as communicate clearly with a close-knit crew
- A positive, can-do attitude and professional demeanor
- Y4/Y3 tickets as a minimum
- B1/B2 visa or U.S. passport/Green Card (must be legally able to work in U.S. waters)
- Familiarity with ISM and technical reporting software preferred
- A package of $8,000 - $10,000 DOE with 60 days leave is on offer
