70m private/light charter motor yacht is seeking a confident and experienced sous chef to join the galley team.
- This is a busy but well run program with a mixture of private use and light charter, offering a great opportunity for a chef who enjoys variety while maintaining high standards
- You will be working closely with an experienced head chef and will play a key role in the day to day running of the galleY
- You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of galley operations, ensuring smooth service for both owners, guests and crew. This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to step up and lead when required
- Assisting the head chef with menu planning, provisioning and stock control
- Preparing and executing high quality dishes for guest and crew service
- Taking ownership of crew meals, ensuring they are nutritious, varied and well presented
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and galley organisation at all times
- Supporting with galley budgeting and minimising waste
- Assisting with charter preparation, guest preference sheets and dietary requirements
- Stepping into the head chef role when required, including managing service and galley operations
- Previous experience as a sous chef on a similar size yacht or strong background in high end restaurants
- Confident across a variety of cuisines with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Strong understanding of crew catering alongside guest fine dining
- Calm under pressure with a positive, team-focused attitude

- Salary $5500 per month
