TECHNICAL MANAGER (SUPERYACHTS)

A highly reputable and expanding yacht management company is seeking a Technical Manager to join its Fort Lauderdale team.

This is a key appointment within a growing platform managing a fleet of large superyachts. The successful candidate will oversee technical operations across multiple vessels, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, performance and refit delivery.

The Role

• Maintain robust safety culture and compliance oversight

• Monitor vessel maintenance, reliability and performance

• Lead and oversee superyacht refit periods

• Conduct regular technical inspections across all vessels

• Liaise directly with Flag States and Class Societies

• Oversee and optimise Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS)

• Evaluate and appoint vendors, contractors and marine surveyors

• Manage warranty claims and technical dispute resolution

The Ideal Candidate

• Preferred candidate; Already in a shoreside yacht management / technical role

• Plan B: Experienced Chief Engineer with extensive yard time ready to transition ashore

• Strong refit and project management experience

• Confident working with Class, Flag and surveyors

• Commercially astute and vendor-savvy

• Systems fluency, (Xero and Voly, Smartsheet, Pinpoint Works etc)

US Citizen or Green Card holder essential.
Must live in, or be commutable to, Fort Lauderdale.
