We are seeking a capable, discreet and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to join the team within a prestigious private residence in London.

Reporting to the House Manager, this is a varied position combining day-to-day property maintenance with practical household support. The successful candidate will be someone who takes genuine pride in keeping a property running smoothly, notices issues before they become problems, and is equally comfortable carrying out minor repairs, overseeing contractors or helping another department when required.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out routine property and maintenance checks
• Completing minor repairs and maintenance within your skillset, including basic painting and decorating
• Identifying faults, damage or maintenance requirements and reporting these promptly to the House Manager
• Coordinating and supervising external contractors while they are working within the residence
• Maintaining household stores and assisting with stock and inventory
• Keeping designated back-of-house areas clean, organised and well maintained
• Ensuring terraces and external areas remain tidy, including checking automatic watering systems
• Assisting with luggage, household items, food and beverage deliveries and other practical requirements
• Supporting the wider household team whenever necessary
• Maintaining excellent standards of discretion, professionalism and presentation at all times.

A recognised trade qualification — for example in painting/decorating, plumbing or electrics — would be advantageous but is not essential. Previous experience within a similar professional environment is important.

This position would particularly suit someone coming from a private household, luxury hotel, high-end residential maintenance, facilities or property maintenance background who understands that in a private residence, flexibility and service mindset are just as important as technical ability.

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Yacht Manager to join a high-calibre yacht management environment, working predominantly from home in the UK.

We are looking for someone who brings the usual strengths of a strong Yacht Manager — operational oversight, Captain and client liaison, budgeting, compliance and coordination — but with a greater technical and engineering understanding than the average yacht management profile.

You do not need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable discussing technical issues with Captains, Chief Engineers, shipyards and specialist contractors, understanding the implications and helping drive sensible solutions.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong Yacht Management experience, ideally with exposure to larger yachts
• Good technical and engineering awareness, including refit, maintenance and operational matters
• Confidence liaising with Captains, Chief Engineers, owners’ representatives and external specialists
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance operational, technical and financial priorities
• Excellent communication skills — diplomatic, credible and able to build trust quickly
• A genuinely collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a wider team
• Calmness under pressure and a practical, solutions-focused mindset
• Willingness to travel to vessels and shipyards when required

This role will particularly suit someone who enjoys being at the centre of yacht operations, bringing people together, resolving issues and ensuring vessels are supported to the highest possible standard.

• They are looking for a Bosun that can hit the ground running and is coming from a smaller yacht looking to make a step up in size. Lead deckhands from larger yachts will also be considered!

• Prestigious build yacht with Med & Caribbean cruising running a family style operation with lots of watersports!

• Italy, SOF cruising this Summer – the owners want to use the yacht and you will accrue lots of sea time onboard

• Must be comfortable leading a team, good in tenders and have strong organisational skills

• Ideally you will be working towards OOW with a few modules complete, potential to grow and gain additional experience in the bridge once you have your OOW!

• On offer is a salary of 4800-5000 Euros DOE, 60 days contractually with an additional 30 days at Captains discretion (90 days in total), the long term plan will be to run a 3:1, discretionary bonus and full training budget
